QuoteQuiver

Your website widget
From the line we sent you to your first lead.

Your widget is switched on. In the app, under Company settings → Website widget, there is one line that looks like this:

<script src="https://quotequiver.com/widget/wq_yourkey/embed.js" async></script>

That line is the whole install. It puts a tab on the edge of every page of your website. A visitor taps it, finds the property on a map and gets a free instant roof estimate using your products, logo and phone number. You choose whether contact details are required first. You get the lead. Here is what to do, in order.

Step one: put the line on your website

  1. Copy the line from the app. Company settings → Website widget → Copy the line. Do not retype it; the key in the middle is yours and has to match exactly. If somebody else looks after your website, email them the line as it is and this page with it.
  2. Paste it into your site's footer code box, so it runs on every page. It belongs just before the closing </body> tag. Every website builder has a box for this; it is usually called custom code, footer code, or header and footer scripts. The table below says where it is on the common ones.
  3. Publish the site. Most builders keep the change on a draft until you press Publish. The tab does not appear until the site is published.
  4. Open your website in a private or incognito window and look for the tab. It sits on the right edge and says "Free roof estimate" until you change the words. A private window skips your browser's cached copy of the old page.
Your website is onWhere the line goes
WordPressEasiest is a plugin such as WPCode or "Insert Headers and Footers": paste the line in the Footer box and save. If your theme has a "custom code" or "footer scripts" setting under Customize, that works too. Not into a page or a post; that puts it on one page only.
WixSettings → Custom code → Add custom code. Paste the line, choose All pages and Body end, apply, then publish.
SquarespaceSettings → Advanced → Code injection. Paste into the Footer box and save. Code injection needs a Business plan or above.
WebflowSite settings → Custom code → Footer code. Save and publish.
GoDaddy Website BuilderAdd an HTML section to the page and paste the line there. GoDaddy's builder only takes code inside a section, so it shows on the pages you add it to; put it on the home page at least.
ShopifyOnline store → Themes → Edit code → theme.liquid, paste just above </body>, save.
WeeblySettings → SEO → Footer code, paste, save, publish.
DudaSite settings → Head HTML and Body end HTML. Paste into Body end.
Somebody built it by handSend them the line and the words "just before the closing body tag on every page". That is all they need.
The one mistake everybody makes The line gets pasted into a text box, so it shows up on the page as words instead of running as code. If you can read the line on your website, it went into the wrong box. It has to go into the code, custom code, or HTML box, never a paragraph.

Step two: check it with your own address

  1. Tap the tab on your site and run your own house. Start with the address and confirm the house on the map. With the contact requirement on, enter your own email and phone and tick the permission box to see the estimate. With it off, see the estimate first, then submit your details to test the update.
  2. Open the app and look at Hot leads. Find the requested property and open Website inquiry history. An address-only estimate has no visitor contact details yet. After you submit them, the same inquiry shows your name, email and phone. Check both notices in your selected leads inbox.
  3. Check the email the homeowner gets. You typed your own email, so you have it: their estimate, your name on it, and a button to open the full document. If anything on it reads wrong, the next step fixes it.

Step three: make it yours

Everything below is on the same Website widget tab. Blank means our wording; you keep any improvements we make to it. See what a homeowner sees opens your live page after each save.

The product it quotes
Pick the material you want a stranger to see first. A metal shop should lead with metal. If the roof is too flat or too steep for that product, the page quotes the next product on your price list that fits, so nobody is shown a price for something you would not install.
Contact details before the estimate
Visitors start by finding the requested property on a map. The checkbox Require name, email and phone before showing the estimate is on by default. Leave it checked to ask for their details first. Untick it to show the free estimate immediately and let them add their details afterward. An address-only request appears in Hot leads and goes to your selected inbox and enabled CRM; contact details update the same inquiry when the visitor submits them with permission.
How the price shows
A range (recommended), one number, or no price at all. With no price, the homeowner still gets an acknowledgement and you still get the whole lead with the measurement; you just make the call before they see a number.
The words on the tab and the panel
The tab text, the headline and the short intro. Keep the tab short; "Free roof estimate" and "Get my roof price" both work. Say what they get and how long it takes.
How the tab looks and moves
Its size (small to huge), where it sits (either edge, middle or low, or a pill in a bottom corner), whether it moves to get noticed (a peek open, a flash, a nudge, a bounce, a pulse of color or a wiggle, as often as every two seconds or as rarely as every twenty), and its color (your brand accent unless you pick your own). The preview on the settings screen shows the result. Every change reaches your site within a few minutes on the same line you already pasted; you never touch your website again to change the tab.
Where the leads email goes
Whoever answers the phone first. You can list more than one address, separated by commas. Leave it blank and it goes to your leads email, then your main email.
A few words about your company, your Google rating and the reviews link
These print on the company card at the bottom of the answer page, with Call, Email and Website buttons and a "Read our reviews" button. Open your Google Business Profile, choose Read reviews, and copy the address bar into the link box. Keep the rating current.
Your logo, colors, phone, license line and address
Those come from Company settings → Branding, the same place your mailers read them. If the logo is missing or the phone is wrong on the answer page, that is where to fix it.

Step four: work the leads

  1. Call within minutes, not days. A website inquiry identifies the requested property. If the visitor shares a number and contact permission, the lead email and Hot leads row carry it; tap it to follow up. Address-only inquiries have no contact details yet. Their history shows the device, time, and approximate network location when available. Those details do not verify who owns or lives at the property.
  2. Watch for the inspection button. Every product on the answer page has a Book a free inspection button. When a homeowner presses it you get an email with the subject "Inspection request: their address wants your product", the house moves to Appointment in the app, and the request is filed under the house with the product they chose.
  3. Talk about the estimate the way the page does. The page calls it an estimate and says the final price comes after the inspection. Say the same on the phone. The roof was measured from aerial imagery; the inspection is where you confirm the decking, the layers and the details the imagery cannot see.
  4. Using ProLine? Let the leads flow in on their own. Company settings → Integrations: paste your ProLine company key, press Test connection, and leave the website widget switch on. Every widget lead and every booked inspection lands in ProLine as a project with the contact, the address, the estimate and the roof numbers. Nothing to retype.

What it costs

100 credits
A month, taken from your wallet on the day it was switched on and every month after. 100 website estimates are included.
1 credit
Each estimate past the hundred in a month. Nothing per lead, ever; a lead is the point.
0
For a house your reps already pinned. The page answers from the quote you already have and nothing is measured twice.

The widget needs a card or bank on file and auto reload switched on, so a busy month never leaves a homeowner looking at a broken form. If the wallet does run short the widget keeps working and the month is simply owed; it catches up on your next top up. Your payment history for it is on the Website widget tab.

Nobody can run your bill up Five estimates an hour per visitor, a daily ceiling on your account, and the same house asked twice in a day is answered from the first measurement. A scraper gets a polite refusal, not a measurement. Ask us if you want the daily ceiling raised.

Get it in front of people

Say it everywhere the website is
Trucks, yard signs, door hangers, your Google Business Profile, your email signature: "Get your roof price online in a minute at yoursite.com". The tab does the rest.
Post the answer page
Run your own house, screenshot the answer page with your logo on it, and post it. A homeowner who sees that a price is one tap away will take the tap.
Put it on the mailer
Your mailers already carry a QR code to the estimate page. The website widget is the same idea for the people who found you on their own.

When something looks wrong

I pasted the line and there is no tab
In order: did you publish the site; are you looking in a private window; did the line go into a code box or a text box (if you can read it on the page, it is in a text box); is it on every page or only one. If all four are right and it is still missing, email us the address of the page and we will look.
The tab says the widget is taking a break
It is switched off on our side. That happens only if you asked. Reply to any email from us and we will switch it back on; the line on your website keeps working as it is.
The product I chose shows in red on the settings card
That product was renamed or removed on your price list. Pick it again from the dropdown; until you do, the widget quotes your price list's default so nobody meets an error.
A homeowner says the page would not give them a price
Either the price mode is set to no price, or the address could not be matched to a roof (a new build, a rural lot, a PO box), or they tried more than five times in an hour. The lead still lands in Hot leads whenever the address resolved, so call them.
My own test lead is sitting in Hot leads
That is fine. Leave it or mark it however you handle a dead lead; it charged nothing beyond the estimate it counted.
